Building Secure Retail Data Sharing at Walmart With Databricks Delta Sharing

Secure retail data sharing is becoming a foundation for collaboration between retailers, brands, and partners. In this session we will present how Databricks Delta Sharing and clean rooms can be used to build governed, privacy-aware data-sharing solutions that unlock transaction, customer, inventory, and performance insights for external stakeholders. Attendees will learn practical implementation patterns, clean room design principles, governance best practices, and strategies for delivering secure data products that are accessible to technical and non-technical business users. We’ll also present a Walmart Scintilla Cloud Feeds use case built on Delta Sharing, demonstrating how Walmart built their direct cloud-to-cloud sharing can simplify partner access to first-party retail data, reduce operational complexity, and support faster access to insights.
