Cybersecurity Data Platform at Rivian

Rivian built a secure, scalable, and cost-effective cybersecurity lakehouse on open standards to enable real-time, scheduled, cross-team, and predictive detections for security events. Commercial SIEM systems are proprietary and scale inefficiently with data ingest size, locking in access to customer data within their ecosystem. With a complete pipeline for automating Detection and Response management workloads, cross-functional teams can use SQL-based methods to deploy detections and playbooks into their environment. Rivian has reduced its implementation time and increased Cybersecurity coverage across the enterprise environment. As Rivian's Cybersecurity data platform grew 30x over 3 years, scale and TCO have always been critical to success. Databricks ease of use allowed Rivian's Cybersecurity team to migrate the previous SIEM solution to the new platform in under 3 months while enabling Rivian to deliver new capabilities to end users.
