Wish It. Find It. Query It—How Rooms To Go Connects AI Assistants to the Databricks Data Platform

At DAIS 2025, Rooms To Go showed how we brought Databricks AI/BI Genie to 700+ warehouse and sales users through Microsoft Teams. This year, we go further. Using Model Context Protocol (MCP), we now connect multiple AI assistants—ChatGPT, Azure Copilot, Claude and Azure AI Foundry—to three core Databricks capabilities: Wish It—Genie for natural-language analytics, Find It—vector search for knowledge retrieval and Query It—Databricks SQL for governed data access. This 40-minute session walks through the real architecture, live demos and lessons learned from giving business users the freedom to choose their AI interface while keeping all data governed on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Attendees will leave with a concrete playbook for implementing MCP-based AI assistant integrations in their own organizations.
