Cody Ferguson

Cody is a proven leader in the data and analytics domain with experience in managing large technical teams on implementation of features that increase the ability for DoD to better utilize data to manage business and gain better insights for informed decision-making. Cody currently serves as the Data Operations Director for Advana, DoD's enterprise data and analytics platform within the Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (OCDAO). In this role, he is responsible for large-scale data acquisition efforts through federation and integration of over 300 data sources, automation of data ingestion and governance processes to decrease overall time-to-insight for DoD analysts and data scientists, and scalable solutions for data architecture and management of all data assets on the Advana platform. Cody has 8 years of DoD experience which include assisting in the creation of executive analytics to enhance and inform senior leader decision-making in coordination with the Immediate Office of the Deputy Secretary of Defense, and leading the creation of budget analytics metrics that allow the Department to effectively utilize resources and align requirements to financial execution and outcomes. Prior to working in OSD, Cody was a Financial Management Trainee in the OPM Pathways program and a Financial Analyst, where he spent 5 years working in various positions within the Department of the Navy. Cody obtained a M.S. in Forensic Accounting from American University and received a B.S. in Business Administration from High Point University
