Marcie Kahbody is the Deputy Secretary of Technology, Agency Information Officer (AIO) for the California State Transportation Agency and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Caltrans. Marcie leads collaboration across California transportation entities to increase innovation and successful IT delivery. Marcie is responsible for developing policies and procedures to govern business processes, security protocols, operational programs, and IT resources.
Marcie has held IT positions within the State of California for over 32 years, including the role of AIO at CalSTA since 2015. Prior to she worked at the Department of Health Care Services, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and Department of Technology, and Department of General Services.
Marcie earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from CSU Sacramento. In 2023, Marcie received the esteemed ‘Women Who Mean Business Award’ from the Sacramento Business Journal.
