Michael holds a doctorate in artificial intelligence from NYU's Tandon School of Engineering. He's been researching artificial intelligence for more than 6 years, with successful projects using tree-search, evolutionary optimization, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques, with more than 25 peer-reviewed papers.
Today, Michael works as a product manager and senior data scientist at Hitachi Solutions America, leading the AI initiative for the Empower Platform team.
