Tarek Madkour is the Director of Product for Developer Experience at Databricks. Tarek’s team is responsible for building the world’s best collaborative data science and machine learning environment, including the Databricks Notebook, SQL editor, and extensions for popular development tools, such as VS Code. Prior to Databricks, Tarek was leading the Cloud product team at UiPath to provide elastic RPA for enterprises. Before that, Tarek spent many years at Microsoft creating industry-grade developer and cloud products as part of the Visual Studio and Azure teams. Outside work, Tarek loves spending time with his wife and kids, and creating chaos with his home improvement projects. When he gives up, you will find him skiing or on the beach.
