Doug is Chief Data Scientist at NASDAQ's Machine Intelligence Lab, a group dedicated to clarifying financial markets with machine learning. His principal interests revolve around the development of reinforcement and rapid adaptation paradigms as solutions to various decision automation problems. Prior to FinTech, Doug stood up an advanced manufacturing analytics group at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He holds a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelors in Mathematics from The University of Illinois.

Junta Nakai is the Global Industry Leader for Financial Services at Databricks where he is responsible for driving the adoption of the Unified Data Analytics Platform across Capital Markets, Banking/Payments, Insurers and Data Providers. Prior to joining Databricks, Junta spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he most recently served as the Head of Asia Pacific Sales in the Equities Division. He is a contributing Business and Technology writer for various publications and speaks frequently about digital transformation in Financial Services at conferences and media outlets around the world. Junta is bilingual in English and Japanese and holds a B.A. in Economics & International Studies from Northwestern University.
