For 30 years, we’ve designed software around a human who needed to be in the driver’s seat — navigating menus, configuring pipelines, running queries. That human is leaving the driver’s seat.In this session, we explore what happens to product design when AI agents become the primary users of your platform. We’ll look at real workflows being disrupted across industries — from legal to design to data engineering — and introduce the Levels of AI Autonomy framework (L0–L5), a practical tool for aligning product and engineering teams on how much the AI should do versus the human. You’ll leave with a concrete playbook for deciding when to build a UI, when to get out of the agent’s way, and how to design the trust and control surfaces that make agentic experiences actually work.
