Enabling Evolutionary Database Development with Database Branching

This talk builds on the foundations of Evolutionary Database Design, applying the framework of Values, Principles, Methods, Practices, and Tools to a revolutionary capability: database branching.In 1999, Thoughtworks pioneered evolutionary design out of necessity, leading to modern standards like migrations and tools such as Flyway and Liquibase. However, despite improvements in testing and automation, teams still lacked the ability to branch databases as easily as code.Lakebase changes this.
