UC managed tables have changed significantly in the last year — and so have the answers to the most common questions teams ask before adopting them. This session covers both: what's new, and what you need to know to make an informed decision.
We'll walk through the latest capabilities now available on UC managed tables and explain why these features require the managed table architecture — and why they aren’t technically possible for us to support on external tables. Highlights include expanded external engine interoperability, automatic feature enablement, auto-TTL and Zerobus Ingest.
From there, we’ll address the questions we hear most. Is this vendor lock-in? Why do UUID-based paths exist? Concerned about physical data segregation?
Wondering whether your external tools can still reach your data? You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what UC managed tables offer today, what’s changed, and a framework for deciding when and how to adopt them.
