Alex Wang is a Sr. Data Scientist on the Infrastructure Data Science team at Databricks. He leads the development of scalable solutions for infra cost efficiency, with focus on planning and forecasting of cloud usages, unit price, and automated cost overage diagnostics.
Prior to Databricks, Alex was a Sr. Applied Scientist at Amazon, where he led internal cloud capacity planning that drove data center expansion decisions. He also worked as a Sr. Data Scientist at Lululemon, developing forecasting system that directed global shipment to retail stores.
Alex is passionate about building AI-native, human-in-the-loop solutions that bridge the gap between science and business to tackle real-world capacity planning and forecasting challenges.
