Head Threat Researcher, Obsidian Security
Damien Miller-McAndrews is a Threat Researcher at Obsidian Security, focused on real-world attacks against SaaS applications and cloud identity systems. He investigates how attackers combine SaaS abuse, identity compromise, and social engineering into fast-moving breaches, and develops detection strategies to help teams respond faster to account takeovers, OAuth abuse, and anomalous access across enterprise SaaS environments.
At Obsidian, Damien uses the Databricks Lakehouse to run high-scale investigations across anonymized security telemetry—accelerating triage, enriching threat hypotheses, and turning raw activity signals into investigation-ready intelligence. He brings a practitioner’s perspective to threat hunting and regularly shares research and practical insights to help security and IT teams better protect their organizations.
