Chief, Division of Traffic Operations, Accenture
Duper Tong has over 30 years of experience in transportation planning, design, traffic safety, electrical systems, and traffic operations across the public and private sectors, including 26 years with Caltrans. He currently serves as Chief of the Division of Traffic Operations, leading statewide initiatives in Generative AI applications for Traffic Mobility and Road Safety Insights, the Middle Mile Broadband Network, the Managed Lanes Program, and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Previously, he was District 10 Deputy District Director of Traffic Operations, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and safety and mobility programs. He began his Caltrans career in the Traffic Investigation and TASAS branches and later served as District 10 Traffic Safety Branch Chief, HQ Office Chief in Traffic Operations, and in the Division of Design.
Duper is active with TRB and AASHTO committees. He is a licensed PE (Civil, Traffic Engineering) and holds BS and MS degrees from CSU Sacramento.
