George Komninos is the EMEA Lead for Migrations Solutions Architecture at Databricks. He spearheads the region's migration strategy, specializing in moving complex on-premises and cloud systems to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. George is a key contributor to the Databricks community, regularly publishing technical thought leadership and leading workshops on data warehouse modernization. Prior to his current role, George spent several years at AWS in senior architecture and engineering leadership roles, where he pioneered accelerated delivery models for AI, analytics, and Lakehouse architectures. He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh.
