Ioannis Papavasileiou is a Staff Engineer in Machine Learning Modeling at Corning Inc., where he develops AI and machine learning solutions for manufacturing, engineering, and enterprise knowledge systems. His work focuses on retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), applied machine learning, and large-scale data modeling, with an emphasis on turning complex technical data into practical business tools. Since joining Corning in 2018 after earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut, he has led and contributed to high-impact initiatives including production ML systems, predictive models for process optimization, and enterprise knowledge assistants.
