Laurence is a Senior Solutions Architect and Insurance SME at Databricks, based in London and covering the EMEA insurance and reinsurance market. He works with carriers, reinsurers and Lloyd's syndicates on modernising pricing, actuarial workflows, claims and underwriting on the Lakehouse — helping insurers scale the tools they already rely on with the power of Databricks and agentic AI, without losing their actuarial rigour. Before Databricks, Laurence spent six years at WTW, working inside the pricing and capital modelling software that much of the industry runs on. He now partners with insurers to extend that foundation into governed, real-time, AI-native operations across the policy lifecycle.
