Dr. Michael Y. Uohara is Chief Data and Analytics Officer at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), leading enterprise data, analytics, and AI. He is building HSS's Databricks/AWS data platform (Project Blue Padella), unifying clinical, financial, operational, HR, and research data, and founded its Data Governance Program and Committee.
Previously, he was CMIO at Booz Allen Hamilton, driving AI go-to-market for its health portfolio, and Chief Medical Officer at Microsoft Federal. He earlier led HealthShare Exchange's MarketStreet Platform. A former surgery house officer (Univ. of Maryland/Shock Trauma), he holds a BS from Babson College and an MD from Temple University School of Medicine.
