I am a Staff Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, where I design and evolve the access control and governance architecture for the company’s Databricks-based analytics platform and AWS data lake. My work focuses on extending the Data Lake access control model for read and write permissions, enforcing column-level security and PII masking, and ensuring data subject rights deletion and broader data protection requirements are correctly implemented on the lake. I am particularly interested in pragmatic architectures that keep sensitive data safe without blocking real workloads. At the Data + AI Summit, i'll share hard-won lessons from building privacy-aware, access-controlled data lake platforms in a fast-moving fintech environment.
