Prashanth Babu is a Principal Product Specialist at Databricks, where he brings together Product Management, Field Engineering, and customer perspectives across the Lakehouse, Databricks Lakeflow Jobs, Serverless Jobs, Spark, and Delta Lake.
He has worked in big data since 2011 and with Spark since 2016, combining hands-on data engineering experience with an earlier background in Java architecture.
Since joining Databricks in 2018, Prashanth has helped customers define best practices and productionize reliable, scalable data engineering workloads on the Lakehouse. He is a co-author of Databricks' Comprehensive Guide to Optimize Databricks, Spark and Delta Lake Workloads and O'Reilly's Delta Lake: The Definitive Guide.
