Rourke McNamara leads marketing for Codex at OpenAI. Previously, he led AI developer marketing at Google, where he drove go-to-market for Gemini 2, Gemini 2.5, and Gemini CLI; created the Kaggle GenAI Intensive, which attracted more than one million registrants; and served as primary author and strategist for the Cloud Next 2025 Developer Keynote.
Earlier, Rourke led product marketing for Looker as Google advanced AI-powered conversational analytics, and led analytics product marketing at AWS across services including Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon OpenSearch Service, Amazon Kinesis, and Amazon MSK. He began his career as a software architect and product manager at TIBCO, and has spent his career helping developers and businesses adopt important new technology products.
