Varun Rao Bhamidimarri is Head of Field Engineering at Databricks, covering the Travel segment — where
he leads a team of field engineers supporting some of the world's largest airlines, hospitality, and
travel technology companies on their data and AI strategies. He has spent the majority of his career
working with Enterprise customers on data modernization and AI transformation initiatives, including
leading engagements at Accenture and AWS. His career spans the full evolution of the modern data stack
— from early Hadoop ecosystems to today's AI-first lakehouse platforms. Varun holds multiple cloud,
data, and AI/ML certifications and is a Kansas State University alumnus based in Dallas, Texas.
