In aviation, "bad data" is an operational risk. For large enterprises with hundreds of data products, manual stewardship stifles innovation. To ensure "safe skies," we transformed governance and quality into engineering disciplines. This session explores our "Governance as Code" architecture using DQX and Ontos on Unity Catalog. We demonstrate using GenAI to bootstrap trust, scanning raw data to auto-generate Open Data Contract Standards (ODCSq). We then show how DQX acts as the enforcer, compiling contracts into pipelines that quarantine violations and alert on drift.AI-assisted contracts: Using LLMs to profile data and draft rigorous ODCS contracts, cutting onboarding time.Automated quality: Deploying DQX to enforce row-level quality, quarantine bad data and trigger drift alerts.Semantics-first: Using Ontos to map technical assets to business meaning for a discoverable data marketplace.Join us to learn how we replaced bureaucracy with automation and engineering rigor.
