Akhil is a software engineer at Databricks, focusing on Spark Connect, where he has made significant contributions to the Open Source Spark project. Previously at Databricks, he contributed to the Query Processing and Performance areas, with a filed patent under his name.

Akhil holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Indore. During his undergraduate years, he and his team represented both their university and their country at the World Finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC).
