Doug Way brings over two decades of experience to his role as General Manager Trading at Shell Energy North America. Based in San Diego, CA, Doug oversees trading desks in Canada and the United States, focusing on natural gas and power trading, including energy, capacity, and environmental attribute products.

Doug's journey with Shell began in 2002 in Calgary, Canada, where he worked on various trade desks primarily focused on natural gas trading. In 2021, he relocated to the San Diego office, taking on responsibility for the gas and power trading desks. His role expanded in 2023 to include managing the North American real-time power trading team. Throughout his career, Doug has prioritized exposure management of various products to meet Shell's customer needs and has been dedicated to developing innovative solutions to help customers achieve their renewable energy goals.
