Julien Debard is Director of Energy & Utilities at Databricks—an industry he has spent more than two decades operating in, investing in, and helping modernize.
After earning master’s degrees from Georgia Tech and Arts et Métiers ParisTech, he began his career in the field at SLB, where he developed a core conviction: the energy industry’s biggest constraint is not resources, but intelligence. That insight led him from field operations into the digital domain at AWS and ultimately to Databricks.
Julien has lived and worked across six continents. He co-founded Greju and advises and invests in startups across energy, health, and technology.
He argues that, for the first time, the tools to solve the energy transition are now in place.
