Robert Vernon, PhD, has a career focus on the study of protein sequence to function relationships including protein design, structure prediction, and the protein folding problem. He completed his PhD under David Baker at the University of Washington, did his post-doctoral work on intrinsically disordered proteins under Julie Forman-Kay at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and is currently the Director of Therapeutic Protein Design at Amgen.
