Yoshiaki Kuno is Vice General Manager in the Data Platform Department at Rakuten Group, where he leads data platform strategy and AI-ready data enablement across Rakuten’s diverse ecosystem. He has more than 25 years of experience in technology leadership, including CTO/CIO, product ownership, consulting, and large-scale platform management. At Rakuten, he leads global teams across Japan and India and has built and operated data platforms covering 70+ services and over 100 million user IDs. His work spans Group Data Lake strategy, Customer Data Platform, integrated transaction databases, data mesh and lakehouse architecture, data governance, access automation, metadata enrichment, BI, observability, and data quality.
