Distinguished Engineer, Infrastructure
Atul is a software engineer at Databricks working on core infrastructure, with a focus on caching, storage, and serving systems. His work centers on the architectural challenges of building highly available, scalable, and low latency systems at low cost, with Dicer serving as a foundational component of this effort. He contributes to the design and implementation of several critical systems, including in-process and remote caches, key value storage abstractions, and cache invalidation systems. In addition to his industry work, Atul is actively engaged with the academic systems community, collaborating with researchers and helping bridge production scale systems and academic research.
