I’m excited to announce the official launch of Databricks' new R&D and Engineering hub in New York City.

I joined Databricks a few months ago after founding and exiting two companies in the database and customer data platform markets. And having spent my career building companies from the ground up, I was eager to understand what was the secret to Databricks’ exceptional success. 

The answer became clear shortly after I started here: an exceptional concentration of talent, curated by our outstanding technical founders who remain deeply involved in the company. The density of research and engineering expertise here doesn't just drive results for our customers; it creates a stimulating, highly enjoyable workplace.

We are bringing that same culture to New York. By expanding on our existing top-tier AI teams, we aim to build a world-class engineering site that reflects our confidence in NYC as a center of technical excellence.
