The biggest event of the year in data and AI is upon us! As Industry Marketing Leader for Manufacturing & Transportation at Databricks, I couldn’t be more excited for Data and AI Summit, taking place in San Francisco, June 9-12, 2025. More than 20,000 data and AI leaders will descend on Moscone Center to take part in 700+ sessions, keynotes and training at the world’s largest data, analytics and AI conference.

The show will feature a week-long, dedicated Manufacturing & Transportation Industry Experience, full of sessions, networking opportunities, and hands-on demos in the Industry Lounge you can take advantage of.

Why data intelligence in the manufacturing & transportation industry now?

Data Intelligence in the Manufacturing & Transportation industry is mission-critical. Manufacturing leaders are transforming their organizations, connecting their data to their AI, so they can bring data intelligence to every team.

Manufacturers are exploring how they’re moving beyond product-centric output to customer-centric innovation via connected products. This is delivering superior outcomes, services and experiences for their customers, reducing the time-to-sale and reducing customer feedback loops that boost the experience.

Resilient supply chains are top of mind for every manufacturer today. They're moving from fixed supply planning to agile, demand-driven value chains. Using data and AI, they’re leveraging demand sensing, adaptive production planning, and dynamic replenishment, increasing responsiveness to market shifts, improving forecast accuracy and minimizing excess inventory that reduces waste.

Lastly, leaders are reimaging reactive operations into intelligent, autonomous manufacturing & engineering. From predictive maintenance, to real-time quality control and closed-loop process optimization, data intelligence is having a material business impact - reduced unplanned downtime, increased yield, and improved overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

At this year’s Data and AI Summit, manufacturing leaders will take to the stage to share their story - just how they’re moving the needle, with data intelligence, across these key business pillars. Let’s dive into what you can expect at the event.

Manufacturing & Transportation Industry Experience

We’re fortunate to have an action-packed line-up of sessions and events as part of the Manufacturing & Transportation Industry Experience, spanning Tuesday, June 10 to Thursday, June 12. Let’s dive in.

Manufacturing & Transportation Industry Forum

On Tuesday, June 10, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., we’ll kick off the week with the Manufacturing & Transportation Industry Forum. You’ll learn how manufacturers and transportation leaders are turning today's challenges into tomorrow's opportunities.

From automotive giants revolutionizing product development with generative AI to logistics providers optimizing routes for both cost and sustainability, discover how industry pioneers are reshaping the future of industrial operations.

Highlighting this session is an exciting collaboration between Heathrow Airport and Virgin Atlantic, demonstrating how partnership and innovation are transforming the air travel experience. Learn how these leaders and other companies are using Databricks to tackle their most pressing challenges — from smart factory transformations to autonomous systems development — proving that the path to profitability and sustainability runs through intelligent operations. You will also hear from Applied Materials executive Victor D’ Souza on how people, process and technology need to be brought together to create sustainable competitive advantage with Data+AI.

Following the Forum, you’ll have an opportunity to network with hundreds of other industry peers at the Industry Networking Reception.

Manufacturing & Transportation Industry Breakout Sessions
