Databricks Strengthens Commitment in Korea, Appointing Jungwook Jang as Country Manager

Former Kyndryl and IBM executive joins Databricks’ Asia Pacific leadership team to drive further adoption of the lakehouse platform in the region

Seoul, Korea, 17 January 2023 - Databricks, the lakehouse company, today announced the appointment of Jungwook Jang as the Country Manager for Korea, following the expansion of its business into the Korean market in April 2022. 

An experienced leader in the Korean tech and cloud industry, Jungwook brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology and leadership experience to the role and will be responsible for leading the local teams and driving data platform modernization with lakehouse adoption for Korean businesses across industries.

Prior to joining Databricks, Jungwook served as the Managing Director of Kyndryl Korea and was previously the General Manager of IBM GTS Korea and the Country Manager of AWS Korea.
