200+ independent agencies

Independent agency partnerships that helped Highstreet become one of the top 25 insurance brokerages in the US

Since 2018, Highstreet Insurance Partners has grown through partnerships with more than 200 independent agencies to become one of the top 25 insurance brokerages in the United States. As it expanded, Highstreet recognized that delivering a consistent client experience required faster data integration and a unified client view, while preserving the local relationships and expertise that define independent agencies.

Accelerating integration through shared insights

Imagine the daunting task of integrating billions of disparate data points, from over 200 local agency acquisitions and a continuously expanding network of new agency partners. In addition, imagine adding intelligence to the data to provide immediate powerful insights. Insights needed in real time to enable teams to offer the right solutions to protect their clients.

To meet that challenge, Highstreet created Ora, a proprietary, unified digital intelligence experience on Databricks that brings together trusted data, analytics, intelligent automation, and Al in a single environment.

Highstreet reduced the time required to onboard a new agency partner's data into Ora from as much as six months to less than two weeks. Highstreet now gains near-immediate visibility into a partner's book of business, allowing analytics, AI, and operational insights to begin supporting client service, growth, and decision-making far earlier in the integration process.

Ora: the foundation for One Highstreet Experience

Ora is central to Highstreet's day-to-day operations. On the Databricks Lakehouse architecture, Ora brings together structured and unstructured data in a single governed environment that supports analytics, predictive insights, machine learning, intelligent automation, and AI.

Today, Ora manages more than 49 billion data points spanning Highstreet’s client, policy, and carrier history. Refreshed daily and accessed through a single trusted environment, this data provides a unified view of approximately 500,000 active client relationships and powers analytics and operational decision-making from a consistent source of information.

Ora is embedded within colleagues' everyday workflows, surfacing targeted signals like renewal-likelihood scores, cross-sell opportunities, and client servicing recommendations to help colleagues act faster and more consistently in real time, providing clients with truly holistic experience.

Within twelve months of its May 2025 launch, over 95 percent of Highstreet colleagues gained access to Ora, and active use is climbing steadily.

From Data to Context to Trusted Intelligence

To allow Ora to understand how information relates across the client lifecycle and provide colleagues with a more complete view of the client relationship Highstreet developed a knowledge graph that connects clients, policies, coverages, documents, communications and operational workflows into a shared contextual model.

This contextual foundation enables AI agents to ground recommendations in Highstreet’s own book of business, helping colleagues navigate client service, renewal, and growth decisions with greater speed, consistency, and confidence.

Trust is critical to Highstreet’s intelligence strategy. Unity Catalog provides a single governance layer spanning data, machine learning models, and AI assets, while Metric Views extend that foundation by turning core business logic into reusable data assets. By defining metrics once and reusing them across Ora and other applications, Highstreet can scale innovation with more consistent, permissioned, and explainable insights across every surface where colleagues work.

By re-engineering Ora’s data foundation on Databricks, using Lakeflow pipelines and Delta Lake as the reliable storage layer, Highstreet increased daily data refresh success from 35 percent to more than 95 percent.

Today, Databricks Model Serving enables machine learning models that provide insights to drive client retention strategies, uncover growth opportunities, optimize workflows, and strengthen client service outcomes.

Bringing Intelligence into Daily Work

Ora was built to provide actionable intelligence at the point decisions are being made. Colleagues work with insights embedded directly in Ora, drawn from trusted data that is kept current through real-time pipelines and APIs.

Databricks Genie and proprietary Ora experiences extend that capability by allowing colleagues to explore information in natural language, surface relevant insights, and complete everyday work more efficiently. Ora is designed to inform the judgment of experienced colleagues, keeping the producer or account manager who knows the client at the center of every relationship.

In one recent five-month period, Ora surfaced more than 438,000 upcoming renewals, nearly 91,000 potential account-rounding and cross-sell opportunities, and more than 130,000 policies tied to Highstreet's strategic growth initiatives. By putting that context directly into daily workflows, Ora helps producers prioritize the right client conversations, uncover more organic growth opportunities, and strengthen retention and service outcomes.

Relationships at Scale

As analytics, intelligent automation, and Al continue to evolve, Highstreet remains focused on the same principle that has guided the organization since its founding: combining the strength of local relationships with the scale and capabilities of a national company.

As Highstreet continues to grow, every new agency partnership, client relationship, and source of information enrich the shared context available across the organization. On the Databricks Data + AI Platform, Ora continues to evolve so every colleague can deliver One Highstreet Experience, supported by trusted data, intelligent automation, and Al.
