Enterprises move AI from pilot to production by tying each project to a specific business outcome and building governance in from the start. Databricks' 2026 State of AI Agents research found that governed organizations push 12 times more AI projects into production.

Data democratization means giving business users direct, governed access to data so they can get answers without waiting on technical teams. Enterprises achieve it with conversational analytics such as Databricks Genie, which lets users ask questions of their data in natural language while respecting existing access permissions. Enterprise companies use Genie to reduce technical bottlenecks and move analytics from dashboards toward AI agents.

AI needs a strong data foundation because models and agents can only be as accurate, timely and trustworthy as the data they use. Companies are shifting a significant portion of their IT spend toward data foundations on the Databricks Platform. As a result, real-time data from across the network can be used more effectively.

Enterprises scale AI by organizing teams around the complementary strengths of people and AI, and by training employees and partners continuously. Syngenta builds teams around what people and AI each do best. Techcombank keeps AI decision-making in-house and continuously trains their teams and partners. Their lead-matching engine on the Databricks Platform has driven conversion rates 3x higher.
