Databricks Asia-Pacific Learning Festival

This course teaches you the basics of using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform for data engineering and warehousing. You’ll learn to navigate the workspace, manage objects like tables and clusters, ingest and transform data using Delta Lake and the medallion architecture, and orchestrate tasks with Databricks Workflows. The course also covers Databricks SQL, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog, with an optional hands-on lab for practical experience.

In this course, you will develop the foundational skills needed to use the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform for executing machine learning workflows and supporting data science workloads. You will explore the platform from the perspective of a machine learning practitioner, covering topics such as building and managing features with Mosaic AI Feature Engineering, end-to-end model lifecycle management with MLflow, and pipeline orchestration with Lakeflow Jobs. 

Additionally, you will learn about real-time model inference with Databricks AI Model Serving and experience Databricks' transparent, conversational approach to model development through Genie Code - Data Science Agent Mode, where you use natural language prompts to generate, run, and iteratively refine executable ML workflows directly in your notebook. 

The course includes instructor-led demonstrations, culminating in a comprehensive lab that reinforces the concepts covered throughout.

Databricks AI/BI for Self-Service Analytics is an onboarding course designed to help business users find answers in their organization’s data using Genie, AI/BI dashboards, and Genie spaces. Learners will explore interactive dashboards, ask follow-up questions in natural language, create and share visualizations securely, and use a simple framework to turn curated data into clear, reliable insights. The course is built for users who understand their business and key KPIs, and it does not require prior experience with Databricks SQL, dashboard building, or generative AI tools.
