Get Hands-on with Genie: Ask, Build, Deploy, and Operate Agents

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to build, configure, deploy, and operate Genie products across the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

You will start with Genie One to learn how to empower business users with trusted, natural-language access to enterprise data for ad hoc questions and analysis. You will then build a bespoke Genie Agent using instructions, skills, tools, structured and unstructured data, and enterprise context. Finally, you will use Genie Code to build and operate data workflows and applications, including patterns for deployment, monitoring, and production operations.

The session is designed for technical practitioners who want to explore the Genie product family and learn how its capabilities work together to build production-ready data and AI solutions. It starts with core concepts and progresses into more advanced implementation patterns around trust, governance, integrations, agent behavior, and operations.

During the workshop, you will work through practical examples that show how the Genie products fit together.

You will:

• Set up a Genie One experience for governed, ad hoc data questions
• Build a bespoke Genie Agent for a defined business workflow
• Add instructions, skills, tools, and additional enterprise context
• Test and improve the quality and trustworthiness of agent responses
• Deploy and monitor the agent
• Use Genie Code to create or extend a working data application or workflow
