The content was developed for participants with these skills/knowledge/abilities:
• Familiarity with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and core Unity Catalog concepts, specifically regarding metastores and user management.
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Azure interface and the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) hierarchy, including Tenants, Subscriptions, and Resource Groups.
• Understanding of foundational networking concepts such as IPv4 addressing, CIDR notation, DNS, and subnets.
• Beginner familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity and access management and its role as a tenant.
• Awareness of network security fundamentals, including the function of firewalls, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and traffic filtering rules.
• General knowledge of cloud infrastructure components such as Virtual Machines, object storage, and load balancers.
• Administrative access capabilities within the Azure Portal to view or manage resources like Virtual Networks and IAM roles.
