The 2023 Databricks Global Partner Awards were presented at the Databricks Partner Summit across 33 categories and recognize partners for their exceptional accomplishments and joint collaboration with Databricks in the past year. Together, Accenture and Avanade receive the Global Partner of the Year award for the fifth consecutive year. The reason being that both of these partnerships continue to have the largest impact on customer growth, technical certifications, and lakehouse adoption, all while bringing innovative Brickbuilder Solutions to market across all industries. By using cloud and AI as catalysts, they help customers all over the world to unlock value from data and accelerate their digital transformation journeys.

AMER Partner of the Year:

Accenture wins AMER Partner of the Year for driving the most customer growth, joint customers, and technical consultants in the America region. Accenture enables Databricks customers to break down silos, create more agile and adaptive processes, and power data-driven decision-making to solve business problems and identify new opportunities.

APJ Partner of the Year:

Celebal Technologies wins APJ Partner of the Year for driving the most customer growth, joint customers, and technical consultants in the Asia Pacific Japan region. They utilize the Databricks Lakehouse Platform in conjunction with managed services from cloud providers to offer our joint customers the best possible solution to their challenges.

EMEA Partner of the Year:

Avanade wins EMEA Partner of the Year for driving the most customer growth, joint customers, and technical consultants in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region. Avanade has helped Databricks customers to develop a customized end-to-end enterprise data strategy, streamline their full machine learning lifecycle, and validate outcomes to achieve desired business results.

LATAM Partner of the Year:

BlueShift Brasil wins LATAM Partner of the Year for driving the most customer growth, joint customers, and technical consultants in the Latin America region.

Disruption Partner of the Year:

Hitachi Solutions wins Disruption Partner of the Year for developing the Empower Data Platform, which leverages the Databricks Lakehouse Platform to help customers move away from on-prem data warehousing solutions to the cloud. As a result, customers get usable data 55% faster.

Innovation Partner of the Year:

Infosys wins Innovation Partner of the Year for their investment and development of solutions using AI/ML technologies and cloud modernization on Databricks, including their Data Wizard for Hadoop/EDW Migrations and Retail Intelligence Cloud. These enterprise, scalable solutions have been successfully deployed at multiple customers across key industries.

Migration Partner of the Year:

  • Impetus: Impetus is the AMER Migration Partner of the Year for developing LeapLogic, which auto-transforms legacy ETL, data warehouse, analytics and Hadoop workloads to modern data infrastructure on Databricks. Customers who have leveraged the solution have seen an accelerated time-to-market, a reduction in risks, and major cost savings.
  • Celebal Technologies: Celebal Technologies is the APJ Migration Partner of the Year for developing the Migrate to Databricks Brickbuilder Solution and for successfully conducting a Hadoop-to-Databricks migration at an Indian multinational mobile advertising technology company.
  • Wipro: Wipro is the EMEA Migration Partner of the Year for driving many successful migrations and for developing the Data Intelligence Suite Brickbuilder Solution, which enables end-to-end automation of the cloud migration and transformation journey.

Transformation Partner of the Year:

Deloitte wins Transformation Partner of the Year award for leading the Modern Analytic Platform Strategy for customers across multiple industries. Their modern cloud analytics architecture improves the customer ability to produce insights from their analytics, unlock data, and reinvent digital channels to provide a better customer experience.

Financial Services Partner of the Year:

EY wins Financial Services Partner of the Year for transforming a myriad of customers, from large banks to global investment management firms, to the lakehouse. Their all-inclusive solutions for data ingestion, data transformation and analytical needs make use of Unity Catalog, Apache SparkTM, and Databricks SQL to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Health and Life Sciences Partner of the Year:

Slalom wins Health and Life Sciences Partner of the Year for their exemplary work in transforming and modernizing the cloud data engineering infrastructure at a leading global biotechnology company.

Communications, Media, and Entertainment Partner of the Year:

Lovelytics wins Communications, Media, and Entertainment Partner of the Year for their development of Gamehouse, a flagship video gaming Brickbuilder Solution that has been widely adopted by gaming studios. The Gamehouse Solution simplifies analytics for gaming studios of all sizes by providing a user-friendly framework to integrate product telemetry, game services, and external game services data.

Manufacturing Partner of the Year:

Capgemini wins Manufacturing Partner of the Year for delivering a modernized, next-generation data platform within a global industrial service company and one of the world’s largest oilfield services companies. Their solution successfully lowered the customer’s TCO, while making it easier for them to achieve scale and efficiency.

Public Sector Partner of the Year:

Booz Allen Hamilton wins Public Sector Partner of the Year based on their deep knowledge and expertise in helping Federal customers adopt the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. Booz Allen Hamilton consistently demonstrates strong technical and service capabilities, helping Federal agencies to achieve their missions and enabling them to transform and modernize their systems.

Retail and Consumer Goods Partner of the Year:

Tredence wins Retail and Consumer Goods Partner of the Year for enabling success at top CPG brands and developing strong, repeatable solutions in the space. An example of how they drove innovation and customer impact on the lakehouse was by developing the Retail.Atom.ai Brickbuilder Solution, which expedites migration and modernization at scale for leading retail and consumer goods customers.

Velocity Partner of the Year:

Koantek wins Velocity Partner of the Year for their expertise in helping commercial customers in their data and AI transformation journey. Koantek’s Brickbuilder Accelerator, Lakehouse in a Month, along with their Unity Catalog migration solution have enabled customers to seamlessly migrate to the Databricks Lakehouse platform, while allowing them to expand rapidly.

Consulting and System Integrator Partner Champions

Partner Champions are the top technical evangelists in our consulting and system integrator partner community. This year, three Partner Champions were recognized for their excellent evangelism of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, through both customer implementations and community support. They are essential to driving Databricks adoption for our largest customers, standardizing on lakehouse across their practices’ architectures, and developing strong Centers of Excellence.

  • Abhishek Patel from LTIMindtree: Abishek is the Head of the Databricks CoE at LTIMindtree. Starting off as their first Databricks Partner Champion, Abhishek now actively drives their Databricks training and certification program, which has contributed to millions of dollars in opportunities among major retailers and technology companies. He also led the development of the Alcazar migration Brickbuilder Solution.
  • Yuki Saito from NTT Data: Saito-san is a Senior Manager at NTT Data where he has had an outsized impact on supporting several customers through the modernization of their data platforms. Of note, he has been a key evangelist of the lakehouse architecture and has contributed to numerous lakehouse and Databricks content with the goal of helping businesses to transform their data and achieve success.
  • Roozbeh Bandpey from Accenture: Roozbey is the Head of Data Ops at Accenture and was their inaugural Databricks Partner Champion in EMEA. Since becoming a Partner Champion, he has established an Accenture Databricks Center of Excellence, trained hundreds of consultants, and has led many customer implementations.

AI Partner of the Year:

Dataiku wins AI Partner of the Year for their powerful integrations with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, democratizing AI and data science for all users.

BI Partner of the Year:

Tableau wins BI Partner of the Year for pioneering strategic features with Databricks. Additionally, their Partner Marketing team consistently goes above and beyond to drive leads to joint activities.

Built on Partner of the Year:

Amperity wins Built on Partner of the Year for their CDP platform built on Databricks that embraces the intelligent application concept.

Data Integration Partner of the Year:

Qlik wins Data Integration Partner of the Year for their vision and execution in helping customers modernize their legacy data in the Lakehouse.

Data Governance Partner of the Year:

Alation wins Data Governance Partner of the Year for their investments in integrating with Unity Catalog along with their commitment to data governance on the lakehouse. Additionally, Alation is the first data catalog partner to launch on Partner Connect, simplifying the ability to try Alation on Databricks.

Marketplace Partner of the Year:

AccuWeather wins Marketplace Partner of the Year for their investments and deep engagement as an early partner of both Databricks Marketplace and Delta Sharing. They have invested highly in GTM and have developed notebooks to help customers make informed decisions across all activities impacted by weather.

Security Partner of the Year:

Hunters wins Security Partner of the Year for their deep investments in product development and for building their SOC solution on the lakehouse. Hunters is also the first security partner to launch a trial on Partner Connect.

Technology Impact Awards

Customer Impact Partner of the Year:

dbt Labs receives Customer Impact Partner of the Year for more than doubling YoY growth in customer adoption and usage of dbt Cloud and dbt open source on Databricks. dbt Labs has also heavily leaned into product development, joint field collaboration, marketing, and in creating community awareness of dbt on Databricks.

Emerging Partner of the Year:

AtScale wins Emerging Partner of the Year for forging new paths in Semantic Layer, addressing the needs of customers across industries and use cases. The Databricks field sales team and industry marketing team have had great success in partnering with AtScale to bring value to our joint customers.

Innovation Partner of the Year:

Fivetran wins Innovation Partner of the Year for their significant contributions in Partner Connect, Unity Catalog, and SQL Serverless, and for their continuous dedication to improving the customer experience.

S&P Global wins Databricks Marketplace Financial Services Partner of the Year for their custom white-label solutions, GTM investments, and commitment to the lakehouse. S&P Globals’ analytics and insights provide essential intelligence to drive deeper insights for lakehouse customers.

Health and Life Sciences Partner of the Year:

IQVIA wins Healthcare and Life Sciences Marketplace Partner of the Year for their early adoption of Delta Sharing and their GTM investments in Databricks, all which accelerate time to insights within the lakehouse.
