The Partner Strategy & Operations team supports Databricks' robust ecosystem of Cloud, SI, and ISV partners, working with the Databricks Partnerships team. Our team is laser-focused on driving operational scale in an extremely high-growth environment. We empower our stakeholders and senior leadership with the insights, tools, and decision criteria to inform proactive, effective, and data-driven programmatic strategies.

The Role

  • You will play a key role in scaling the operational backbone of Databricks' partner ecosystem. In this role, you will own partner operations workstreams end-to-end - from process execution and systems management to reporting and cross-functional coordination - with impact spanning the Partner Strategy & Operations sub-function on a 6–12 month horizon, measured by efficiency gains, partner data quality, and cost/time savings across the partner ecosystem.
  • You will scope and lead mid-sized, moderately complex or ambiguous projects independently, balancing multiple priorities and exercising sound judgment on trade-offs and when to escalate. You will regularly influence Directors and Sr. Directors across Partner Sales, Alliances, Finance, IT, and Marketing through data-backed recommendations.
  • You will take an AI-first approach to your work, building AI-powered solutions - automated dashboards, workflow automations, and decision-support tools - to drive efficiency and reduce manual toil. You will partner closely with Partner Strategy, Partner Sales, IT, and cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Marketing) to ensure our partner programs run smoothly and scale with the business.
  • In addition, you will own select operational reporting, dashboard management, and data integrity activities, while connecting these workstreams to broader partner data quality and operational scale outcomes.

The impact you will have

  • Identify manual bottlenecks, then design and build automation to streamline internal partner workflows
  • Create standardized, automated playbooks for repeatable partner processes
  • Own business and technical requirements for Salesforce and JIRA enhancements, partnering with IT to address gaps, improve system interoperability, and reduce manual overhead
  • Define success metrics for process changes and assess upstream/downstream implications on adjacent teams before rolling out improvements
  • Connect Legal, Finance, and Marketing tasks through automated project tracking systems
  • Coordinate with IT to prioritize infrastructure updates that support automation goals
  • Own data integrity initiatives through data cleansing, audits, and governance across partner datasets
  • Build AI-powered solutions (e.g., approval workflows, scoring models, notification systems, automated dashboards) to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Build self-serve reporting and respond to escalated data inquiries across leads, pipeline, partner performance, and specializations
  • Lead project intake, discovery, and requirements gathering for new Partner Ops and GTM initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives from intake through delivery, proactively resolving blockers and dependencies across IT, GTM, Legal, Finance, and Marketing
  • Regularly influence Directors and Sr. Directors with data-backed recommendations and sound judgment

What we look for

  • You take an AI-first, builder approach to operations. You build AI-powered solutions - automated dashboards, workflow automations, and decision-support tools - to accelerate analysis, streamline workflows, and reduce manual toil. You exercise sound judgment to validate AI outputs and refine solutions over time. You are always looking for ways to work smarter, not harder
  • You are passionate about business process mapping, optimization, and automation. You can document current-state workflows, identify inefficiencies and cross-functional dependencies, design scalable improvements, define success metrics, and assess upstream/downstream implications on adjacent teams
  • You are technical and proficient in SQL, reporting, and Salesforce. Whether it's building a Salesforce report, querying large datasets with SQL, or creating dashboards for stakeholders, data is a core part of your toolkit. You are proficient with 2+ complex systems that span beyond your team (e.g., Salesforce, JIRA, Databricks SQL, partner portals) and understand integrations, data flows, and dependencies between them
  • You have strong attention to detail and a strong grasp of data quality principles. You own data cleansing, audits, and validation efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems and reporting
  • You apply business and functional context - Databricks' GTM model, partner ecosystem dynamics, and financial implications - to make recommendations aligned to company priorities and assess cross-functional trade-offs
  • You excel in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You regularly influence Directors and Sr. Directors and can navigate dependencies, bottlenecks, and trade-offs across Partner Sales, Partner Engineering, Alliances, and Finance
  • You have a bias for action and take ownership. You scope and lead mid-sized, moderately complex, or ambiguous projects independently, balance multiple priorities, and drive workstreams to completion with minimal direction
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can create Director+ level presentations, decision documents, and proposals that clearly outline scope, objectives, outcomes, and asks
  • You have 5–8 years of experience in operations, business operations, partner operations, or strategy & operations. You have experience working across 2+ functions at an enterprise technology or cloud/SaaS company

Leadership & Culture

  • Contribute to hiring panels for peer roles and below; refer promising candidates from your network
  • Mentor peers and new team members on tools, processes, and best practices; contribute to team enablement efforts
  • Actively model Databricks' Culture Principles in how you work, make decisions, and collaborate, and set a positive tone within the team

Preferred

  • Experience in PRM, cloud/SaaS, data platform, or enterprise software
  • Familiarity with partner ecosystem models and GTM motions (SI, ISV, cloud, technology partners)
  • Familiarity with PRM platforms (e.g., WorkSpan, Salesforce) for managing co-sell motions
  • Experience in Co-sell & Pipeline Collaboration
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools or experience contributing to approval and notification automations
  • Experience with BI/analytics tools (Databricks SQL, Looker, Tableau)
  • Exposure to JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools
  • Basic Python or scripting for data manipulation and automation
