The Product Adoption Manager will drive field effectiveness for the Databricks team of Product and Adoption Architects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to lay out the requirements to execute on product priorities. You will partner with the Product Management, Operations, and GTM leadership to set priorities, requirements, and vision for scalable programs that can be scaled across the entire Field. Across a portfolio of products, the product adoption team provides: clarity to the field on product strategy, signals to product management of friction and blockers, and drives cross-functional action to unblock adoption. Product architects do this directly with customers and enablement, adoption architects through Embedded Product Leaders in the field.

The impact you will have:

  • Manage a diverse team of Adoption and Product Architects to achieve customer, company, and product line adoption.
  • Work with your team to define the strategy for multiple scalable and repeatable product programs. 
  • Evangelizing programs with leadership & cross-functional stakeholders through regular cadences – building awareness, identifying & resolving conflicts (e.g., priority differences), and driving adoption of program levers.
  • Build up a portfolio of effective and engaged EPL communities that are developed, fostered, and matured over time.
  • Orchestrate the build and management of high-quality field material to drive product programs, including positioning and enablement for internal, customer, and partners. 
  • Engaging supporting resources (e.g., strategy, ops, programs) to triage the team’s needs and secure a consistent level of support
  • Metrics include: Product-line Consumption, Program activity KPIs, and size and engagement of the EPL community.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience building, leading, and managing technical field engineering teams. Including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring those teams to mature and grow into highly capable individual operators as well as exceptional team players.
  • Proven trusted advisor to field and product executives who drive strategic decisions with data.
  • Strong execution and ability to drive outcomes in the face of ambiguity
  • Strong leadership skills - ability to coordinate with various roles across GTM and R&D that contribute toward product line adoption.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
